It's easy to write off school phobias as jitters, but sometimes it's a bit more serious than that. (As my sister's former roommate, I can tell you that her tummy troubles were no joke.)

My Mom says that kids wait until either ten o'clock at night or seven in the morning to pull their biggest stunts. And I'm not saying before-school crying jags are a stunt in the sense that they're on purpose, but it sure can feel like that when you're trying to get everyone out the door in the morning.

Say, however, your child's school phobias turn out to be a bit more entrenched. What can you expect from therapy? (Besides access to a lot of magazines in the waiting room.)
